Abstract:
To provide a bifocal lens that causes no discontinuity in an image and no deterioration in external appearance of a wearer when being seen by others, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A spectacle lens 1 is a bifocal lens in which an upper area and a lower area for visually inspecting relatively short sight position relative to the upper area are set at a different lens diopter at a position to be a vertical direction when glasses are worn. Between the upper area and the lower area, a laterally extending belt-like boundary area is provided. With the boundary area, there is no step within the boundary area, prisms in the all directions are continuous, and the upper area and the lower area are adapted to be connected without a step at an upper end and a lower end thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
