PURPOSE: To provide the subject dye suitable for dyeing natural and synthetic materials having vinylsulfone and pyridine type reactive groups and OH or amide and achieving dyeing high in fastness.
CONSTITUTION: A dye is represented by formula I [wherein Fb is mono- or polyaze or anthraquinone, B and B' are a ring C of an aromatic carbon ring in Fb or a direct bond to rings C, N, X is CHCH2 or CH2CH2Y (Y is a group removed under an alkali condition), R is H or (substd.) 1-4C alkyl and z is a group showing reactivity to a fiber represented by formula II (m is H, 1-4C alkyl, etc.)], and contains no metal. But, a dye represented by formula III is excepted. For example, a dye represented by formula IV and the dye represented by the formula I are obtained, for example, by forming a dye represented by formula V to react the same with the reactive component represented by the formula Z-F to separate H-F.
