Abstract:

To obtain a neat bundle of bills to smoothly convey the bundle of bills even if the bills are worn out, by binding them again if there is swelling in the bundle of bills when monitoring the bundled state of stacked bills.

This bill counting and arranging apparatus has a stacking part for stacking the bills, and a sealing part 10 for binding the stacked bills to form the bundle of bills. The supplied bills are separated one by one and conveyed to discriminate the authenticity, denomination, soundness and front/rear direction of the bills while counting them. The bills discriminated as genuine ones are stacked in the predetermined number in the stacking part, and the stacked bills are fed to the sealing part 10 to form the bundle of bills. When there is swelling in the formed bundle of bills, the bundle of bills is bound again.
