This bill accommodating device nips and holds centers of received bills between a bill conveying device and a bill presser, and moves both ends of the bills in a direction orthogonal to faces of the bills by a pair of mobile elements for moving the bills to a storing part. The mobile elements have a holding part with three sides surrounded like a channel-shaped section. In this bill moving device in the bill accommodating device, both ends of the bills are moved by the holding part and the bill conveying device.
