To obtain a bimetal type thermometer which can be dismounted from a tank or the like in operating state of facility by constructing a temperature- sensitive tube provided with a fixing part at the base independently of a temperature indicating part integrally equiped with a rotary shaft and a helical bimetal and mounting them removably.
A temperature-sensitive tube 2 provided with a fixing part 6 at the base thereof is constructed independently of a temperature indicating part integrally equiped with a rotary shaft 5 and a helical bimetal 3 and they are mounted removably. The temperature-sensitive tube 2 is inserted into a tank 20 through a fixing hole 21 thereof and an externally threaded screw 19 is screwed airtightly into an internally threaded fixing screw 22. When it is required to remove a temperature indicating part 1, the bimetal 3, the rotary shaft 5, etc., for the purpose of repair or replacement, a nut with external thread 12 attached to the joint 10 is turned to be detached from the female screw of a temperature-sensitive tube 2 while keeping the temperature sensitive tube 2 attached to the tank 20. When the temperature-sensitive tube 2 is separate from the temperature indicating part 1 and the rotary shaft 5 is drawn out from the temperature-sensitive tube 2, they can be dismounted integrally.
