Abstract:
To provide a binder capable of producing an inorganic fiber non-woven fabric, having excellent bindability of fibers on both the front and back sides with less fluffs, with ease of achieving uniform distribution of the binder in the thickness direction of layered inorganic fibers in contrast with conventional binders.
A binder for an inorganic fiber non-woven fabric comprising polyester resin particles (A) having a volume average particle size DV of 100 to 250 μm with 20 wt.% or less of the particles having a volume based particle diameter of 300 μm or more has a hydrophobicity degree of 3 to 80. An inorganic fiber non-woven fabric comprises a layered inorganic fibers bound with the binder.
