To provide a binder for newspapers which is prevented from impairing the newspapers and besides can be held closed so as to facilitate reading, in a hotel, a restaurant or other places where the newspapers are submitted to reading.
A shape retaining plate material is prepared by connecting a front plate part 2 and a back plate part 3 so that they can be folded back, through the intermediary of a folding edge part 4, and by providing a plurality of cut long windows 5 reaching the folding edge part 4 on one side of the front plate part 2. The present binder for newspapers is composed of a binder main body 1 constituted of this shape retaining plate material, and of a plurality of clips 11 each having such dimensions as to be held in each cut long window 5 and an almost U-shaped section. The portions of the newspapers held between the front plate part 2 and the back plate part 3 of the binder main body 1, that face the cut long windows 5, are held on the back plate part 3 of the binder main body 1 by the clips 11.
