Abstract:
To provide a binder for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, by which a battery with excellent performance can be obtained even if an active material including silicon is used.SOLUTION: A binder for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes at least carboxymethyl cellulose and/or a salt thereof. The binder has a degree of anionization of 5 meq/g or more expressed in milliequivalents (meq/g) of anions in 1 g of the binder for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, the degree of anionization being measured by a titration method using a streaming current meter.SELECTED DRAWING: None
