To provide a coating material such as a coating, an ink, an adhesive and a primer, which excels in adhesion and water-resistant adhesion for particularly a polyolefin resin, as well as to provide a binder resin suitable for the coating material.
The coating material contains the binder resin which is characterized in that it comprises a modified cyclized polymer (C) obtained by addition reaction of an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride (B) to a cyclized product of a conjugated diene polymer having a cyclization ratio of 30-95% (A), that the addition amount of the above (B) to the above (C) is 0.1-10 wt.%, and that the proportion of the added acid anhydride group (I) to the total amount of the (I) and the dicarboxylic acid group (II) formed by hydrolysis of the acid anhydride group is 60 wt.% or more.
