Abstract:

To provide a binder resin for electrophotographic toner, which is superior in low-temperature fixability, is less in fogging of an image and is high in glossiness to the image, and to provide a production method thereof, and an electrophotographic toner including the binder resin.

The binder resin for toner contains a resin obtained by subjecting an aqueous dispersion containing a crystalline resin and an aqueous dispersion containing an amorphous resin to an aggregation step and a union step, wherein the crystalline resin is a composite resin containing a condensation polymerized resin component obtained by condensation polymerization between an alcohol component containing an aliphatic diol with 2 to 10 carbon atoms and a carboxylic acid component, and a styrene resin component.
