Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load of binding arms when the binding arms of a binding apparatus are tilted and adjust a gap of the binding arms according to a size of an object to be bound.
SOLUTION: A tape reel 9 with a binding tape 8 mounted is attached to a binding arm 38 provided rotatably on a side of a base 2, and a clutch means 39 comprising a ratchet 50 associated with an axial member 46 of the tape reel 9 and a ratchet member 51 is provided on the base 2. Before tilting the binding arm 38, engagement of the clutch means 39 is not clone so that the tape reel 9 is freely rotatable, while after, tilting the clutch means 39 is engaged to reduce rotation of the tape reel 9. An engaging claw 42 for canceling the engagement of the clutch means 39 after tilting of the binding arm 38 is completed for making the rotation of the tape reel 9 free is attached to the base 2. In addition, a stopper for adjusting a gap of the binding arm 39 to regulate an amount of rotation of the arm 39 in an opening direction is provided.
