Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically replenish a binding tape and continue the binding work without suspension of the operation of a device, even when the binding tape has beed used up.
CONSTITUTION: Sensors 134a, 135a, 134b, 135b detecting the residual quantity of heat-adhesive tapes MT, MT' of the first and second tape feeding mechanisms, detect that the residual quantity of the heatadhesive tapes MT, MT' has decreased less than a specified quantity when feeding either tape of the first and second tape feeding mechanisms. A slider 138, a guide rail 139, and a tape-exchange motor 140 are provided to transfer the first and second tape feeding mechanisms A, B and oppositely position the other tape feeding mechanism to the tape guide of the binding part 2.
