Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding device capable of binding a corner of a sheet bundle with a strip.SOLUTION: A binding device 1A comprises: a holding part 20A holding a sheet bundle 10; tray 23 on which the sheet bundle 10 is mounted; a pressing member 24 pressing the sheet bundle 10 onto the tray 23 by a rotational action. The pressing member 24 comprises: folding part 24c folding a corner part 10c of the bundle sheet 10. An action to hold the sheet bundle 10 with the holding part 20A causes the folding part 24c to press the corner part 10c of the sheet bundle 10 to fold the corner part 10c while creating a fold line 10d; An action to move the sheet 10 causes the corner part 10c to fold to create a folding part 10e; and a portion where the part folding part 10e is formed is bound with a strip 2.
