Abstract:
To provide a binding machine capable of suppressing the application of a local load when the brake body moves to the evacuated position where the brake body becomes disengaged from the wire reel.SOLUTION: The binding machine includes: a cushioning portion 8A that is provided between a brake body 60 and a wall surface 11B of a brake housing section 11 as a cushioning structure for the brake body 60 configured for a state that the brake body 60 is moved to the evacuated position where the brake body is disengaged from the wire reel 20. The cushioning portion 8A is provided on the wall surface 11B at a position opposite to a back surface 60K of the brake body part 60. The cushioning portion 8A is configured so that a dimension in a direction of protruding from the wall surface 11B is specified to be a value that allows the cushioning portion to contact the back surface 60K of the brake body 60 when the brake body 60 is moved to the evacuated position of being disengaged from the wire reel 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18A
