Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a stable tightening force while contriving to shorten a tightening time by a secondary tightening roller and, particularly, to shorten the tightening time in the case of binding a small work.
CONSTITUTION: In a binding machine 1 for winding a band around a work W by tightening through a secondary tightening roller 5 and for binding the work through a prescribed tightening force, when a sensor 18 for detecting the size of the work W is arranged in an arch guide 17 and the rotational speed of the secondary tightening roller 5 is adjusted according to the size of the work detected by the sensor 18, the time for a secondary tightening operation is made almost constant irrespective of the size of the work W so that it is possible to contrive to shorten a tightening time and to stabilize a tightening force.
