Abstract:
To provide a binding machine capable of applying suitable tension to wire for removing slack due to excess wire.SOLUTION: A reinforcement binding machine 1A includes a bundling unit 7A that twists a wire wound around a reinforcing bar S. The bundling unit 7A includes: a rotation axis 72 with a feed screw 72a formed on the outer circumference; a wire locking body 70 that is configured to move to the axis direction of a rotation axis 72 to lock a wire in a first operating range along the axis direction of the rotation axis 72, and in a second operating range along the axis direction of the rotation axis 72, to move in the axis direction of the rotation axis 72, rotate together with the rotation axis 72, and twist the wire; a rotation control unit 74 that regulates the rotation of the wire locking body 70; and a tension applying part 75A that applies tension to the wire locked by the wire locking body 70 in the first operating range and releases application of the tension in the second operating range. The tension applied to the wire is 20% or more and 50% or less with respect to the maximum tension load of the wire.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2B
