To solve the problem that the tightness of fastening devices in conventional bindings for a snowboard cannot be adjusted.
The binding for the snowboard is provided with a base plate, a heel cup, and a link tool for linking the base plate and the heel cup through a hardness adjusting member. One end of a boot fixing band is fitted to one side of the heel cup, and a buckle is linked to the other end of the band. One end of a belt is fitted to the other side of the base plate and the other end is linked to the buckle. The hardness adjusting member can be replaced with ones having different hardness. The hardness adjusting member is removably linked either to the base plate or to the heel cup. The link tool works as a fastening tool by connecting the base plate and the heel cup through the hardness adjusting member. The hardness adjusting member is inserted to a narrow through hole formed either on the base plate or on the heel cup.
