Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding equipped with a high back which can prevent a user from being injured even if the user fell and landed on his rear end on the upper end of the high back without spoiling the original function such as surely transmitting the force of legs to a snowboard side, at all.
SOLUTION: This binding 10 for the snowboard 30 is used to fix boots 20 to the snowboard 30, and is equipped with the high back 13 which is supported by a heel cup 12 being supported by a base plate 11 in a manner to support the back surface of the boots 20. In such a binding 10, the high back 13 is constituted of a rigid base section 13A and a flexible protecting section 13B. In this case, the base section 13A is connected with the heel cup 12 side. The protecting section 13B is attached to the upper end of the base section 13A.
