To provide a convenient binding and tightening tool improved so as to be capable of realizing a band projecting means to constantly ensure the projecting length of a predetermined value by reviewing a means to project a band part from a holding part by a required amount.

The binding and tightening tool comprises a holding part 5 to hold a head part 2 of a binding band V consisting of the head part 2 and a band part 1 separated therefrom, a tightening part capable of forcibly pulling the band part 1 to be passed through the head part 2 held by the holding part 5, a cutting mechanism capable of cutting the band part 1 tightened by the tightening part so as not to be ejected from the head part 2, and a band introducing passage to introduce the long band part 1 in the holding part 5, and to project it outside from the holding part 5, and further comprises a band projecting means c which works on the band part 1 introduced in the band introduction passage to project the band part 1 from the holding part by the predetermined amount.
