PURPOSE: To form automatically the binding wire of the prescribed length with high efficiency to disuse the stock by providing a forming drum at the lower part of a line between the guide cylinders of the inlet side and outlet side of the line, by providing turnably on the upper part of the forming drum the guide dylinder at the outlet side and by making the guide cylinders of the inlet and outlet sides freely telescopic.
CONSTITUTION: The length of the guide cylinders 5, 6 at inlet side and outlet side is adjusted in advance in the length nearly half the length of a steel wire. The steel wire pinched by the upper and lower caterpillars 31 is then drawn from recoiler 1 with driving of motors 32, 32 and comes into contact with detector 8 with passing through straightener 2. And when a shielding plate 841 is ascended to shield a photo tube 83 and the motor 32 and recoiler are stopped, a cylinder 75 rotates the guide cylinder 6 at outlet side on the upper part of a pusher 71, bends the steel wire around the pusher 71 and cuts it by cutter 4. The bent steel wire is then pulled by the pusher 71, curved along the drum 74 and at the place where the tail end comes out of the guide cylinders 5,6 at the inlet and outlet sides the binding wire is stored into a truck.
