Title:
BINDING YARN FOR SHUTTLE-LESS WEAVING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP09279428
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain the subject yarn free from trouble such as selvage fray, etc., during a process of fabric such as dyeing process and other post processing, by specifying tenacity at break, dry heat shrinkage percentage at 160°C and shrinking percentage in boiling water of multiangular cross-section yarn of four or more leaves.

This binding yarn for a shuttle-less weaving machine comprises a multiangular cross-section yarn having a fiber section of four to ten leaves and has 3.0g/d tenacity at break, 6-25% dry heat shrinkage percentage at 160°C and 5-20% shrinking percentage in boiling water. The yarn is preferably obtained by making a polyester, especially a polyester containing ≥85wt.% polyethylene terephthalate unit into a yarn. A selvage of a fabric improved in weft retaining force, hardly causing selvage fray and slip and excellent in mechanical strength is obtained.
