Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organism-related substance adsorbent which can simply and effectively remove an organism-related substance containing a toxic substance and a pathogenic microorganism and a method for producing the same, and to provide a resin, a fiber, a garment, a filter, and a mask containing the organism-related substance adsorbent.SOLUTION: An organism-related substance adsorbent contains a layered double hydroxide having a specific surface area of 20 m/g or more, more preferably, 70 m/g or more, as an active ingredient, and adsorbs an organism-related substance. The layered double hydroxide may carry an antibacterial metallic component. The layered double hydroxide may be synthesized by mixing (1) an acidic solution containing divalent metallic ions and trivalent metallic ions, (2) an alkaline solution, and (3) an aqueous solution containing an antibacterial metallic component.SELECTED DRAWING: None
