Abstract:
To obtain a compound useful for diagnostic contrast agents for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and optical imaging.
The magnetic resonance imaging or optical imaging prodrug contrast agent has a lower affinity for a tissue protein than a bioactivated form of the contrast agent. In one embodiment, the prodrug contrast agent comprises:(a) an image-enhancing moiety (IEM); (b) a protein binding moiety (PBM); and (c) a modification site (MS).
