Abstract:

To inexpensively provide a highly safe and bioactive thioctic acid derivative.

A method for inexpensively synthesizing the thioctic acid derivative in which an 8-22C hydrocarbon group which may have a branched bond or an unsaturated bond, an acyl group or a 9-100C polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon is bonded to a thioctic acid derivative, and a bioactive composition containing the thioctic acid derivative are provided. The bioactive composition containing the thioctic acid derivative has safety and stability higher than those of conventional thioctic acid derivatives and is easily absorbed to cells and tissues. After the derivative is absorbed, thioctic acid concentration in the cells and the tissues can be enhanced, thioctic acid activity can be highly expressed in the cells and the tissues for a long period of time and biological effect wider than that of conventional derivatives can be expressed.
