Abstract:
To provide a substrate for a biochip which supresses the non-specific adsorption/bonding of a substance to be detected, when used in the detection and analysis of proteins, nucleic acids or the like and has high detection accuracy.
The substrate of the biochip has the function of immobilizing a physiologically active substance on the surface of a solid phase substrate and a layer, which contains a high-molecular substance, having a phosphorylcholine group and an active ester group is formed on the surface of the substrate. The thickness of the layer is 1 nm or larger and smaller than 20 nm, and the phosphorylcholine group is preferably a 2-methacryloyl oxyethylphosphorylcholine group.
