PURPOSE: To obtain a solid biocide resin concentrate, containing a biocide and a thermoplastic resin which is a terpolymer and useful for stably and uniformly mixing the biocide in a wide range of kinds of thermoplastic resin compositions. CONSTITUTION: This solid biocide resin concentrate comprises a thermoplastic resin or a resin mixture having 30-100 wt.% content of a terpolymer consisting essentially of 40-75 mol.% ethylene monomer unit, 20-30 mol.% vinyl acetate monomer unit and 5-35 mol.% carbon monoxide monomer unit and a biocide, stably mixed in the resin and immobilized at a concentration of at least 20 times of that usually used in a resin composition which is the final use, especially 10,10'-oxybisphenoxarsine. The terpolymer is capable of manifesting good miscibility and compatibility with a wide range of thermoplastic polymers. When the concentrate is formed by using the terpolymer, the concentrate is more embrittled with increasing processing temperature and/or shearing force and provides a rubberlike concentrate with decreasing temperature and/or shearing force.
