To provide an inexpensive biodegradable composition and its molded product which exhibit excellent water resistance and wet strength in natural environmental use and have high flexibility and are rapidly biodegraded after use.

The biodegradable composition comprises a corn gluten meal and a natural rubber as the major components. Particularly, the ratio of the corn gluten meal to the natural rubber is preferably in the range of 30:70 to 70:30, and the composition may further contain a biodegradable plasticizer. The composition can be used in the form of a paper impregnated therewith or a molded product obtained by melt molding.
