Title:
BIODEGRADABLE NONWOVEN FABRIC OF LONG FIBER AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08325916
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a biodegradable nonwoven fabric of long fiber composed of span fiber excellent in cooling and opening properties, having excellent mechanical properties and formation and further having heat adhesive function.

CONSTITUTION: A nucleating agent is added to a thermoplastic aliphatic polyester having biodegradability in an amount [Q] satisfying equation (1), and the mixture is spun in melt at a spinning temperature [T] satisfying equation (2) to obtain a long fiber. The long fiber is split by pulling at a pulling sped of 2500-600m/min and subsequently a nonwoven web is formed from the split long fiber. The nonwoven web is partially welded by a heat pressure apparatus. This enables the holding of a specified shape and produces the objective biodegradable nonwoven fabric of long fiber. (ΔT/100)-(1/3)≤Q(wt.%)≤(ΔT/100)+2.... (1) Here, ΔT = melting point (Tm)-crystallization temperature (Tc)≥35 Tm+20≤T(°C)≤Tm+100.... (2) Here, Tm = melting point.
