Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological deodorizing apparatus easy to produce at a low cost, and capable of efficiently deodorizing using a packed bed excellent in shape retaining property, in water holding property and in microorganism holding performance.
SOLUTION: In the biological deodorizing apparatus in which malodorous gas is passed through a packed bed 4 packed with a filler to carry out deodorization, the packed bed is packed with a mixture of a water-absorbing synthetic resin filler 6 and a filler 5 having a higher compressive strength than the filler 6 and the volume ratio between the filler 6 and the filler 5 is preferably 1:(0.1-10).
