Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a biological oxidation reduction reaction apparatus which may be easily and cost effectively produced, does not require the reclassification operation of the materials used after washing and allows the selection of the materials in the range of the max. limits of grain sizes and densities by arranging a gas introducing pipe for oxidation below an upper layer and above a wall so that liquid after a treatment is recirculated.
CONSTITUTION: A chamber 5 internally has the lower layer 1 for fixing biomass consisting of the material having the density lower than the density of the liquid and the upper layer 3 for fixing biomass consisting of the material having the density higher than the density of the liquid. The cross direction wall 2 is so constituted as to prohibit the passage of the filter materials between the upper zone and lower zone determined in the chamber 5. The lower layer 1 exists below the wall 2 and the upper layer 3 exists above the wall. The gas introducing pipe 8 for oxidation is arranged above the wall 2 below the upper layer 3 so that the liquid after the treatment flowing out via a discharge pipe 10 is recirculated via a pump 12 and an outside pipe 11 communicating with an inlet.
