Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological preparation injection system capable of efficiently introducing only a group of small particles to a fluid flow.SOLUTION: A system 10 for moving particles 20 suspended in a first fluid and injecting the particles into a flow of a second fluid includes a catheter 12 having a multi-lumen type distal end 32. The tip is formed with a plurality of mutually parallel lumens, each lumen having a predetermined diameter. Importantly, the diameter of each lumen has a size to continuously receive particles in each lumen so as to prevent the particles from being aggregated before they flow into the flow of the second fluid. A valve 36 fixed outside the catheter is provided so as to control the flow of the second fluid and facilitate the flow of the particles into the flow of the second fluid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
