Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the validity test of a test device possible, to make a test pack small and compact, and to facilitate handling and change of a sterilization indicator by constructing the pack from three sets of sheets, a tray, and an organizer. CONSTITUTION: A first set 14 is placed with a stack formed by flat sheets 12 of a porous material, and is bored at its center to form a cavity 18 passing through the stack. A second set 20 has unopened flat sheets 22 of a porous material placed on one side of the stack and aligned, and a third set 30 comprises unopened flat sheets 32 of a porous material placed and aligned on the opposite side of the stack, with the cavity 18 closed to put a biological indicator therein. A sheet pad 39 is formed by the three sets, and a tray 40 made of an unopened gas-impermeable material has a base part 42 going along the exposed side part of the third set 30, and a transverse side wall 44 covers the exposed edge of the pad 39. The tray 40 and the pad 39 form an assembly 49, and an organizer 50 permitting passage of steam and air is placed around it.
