A biomass combustion burner 1 includes a liquid fuel nozzle 2 provided on a central shaft, a biomass fuel nozzle 3 for jetting biomass fuel and carrier gas at an outer circumference of the liquid fuel nozzle 2, a fuel concentrator 9 provided on an outer circumference of the liquid fuel nozzle 2, a flame stabilizer 13 provided at a front end of the biomass fuel nozzle 3, and a combustion gas nozzle 5 provided on an outer circumference of the biomass fuel nozzle 3. A solid fuel nozzle 4 is provided on the outer circumference of the biomass fuel nozzle 3 and on the inner circumference of the combustion gas nozzle 5 and conveying particles of solid fuel, and a particle jetting port 10 from the solid fuel nozzle 4 into the biomass fuel nozzle 3 is provided between the fuel concentrator 9 and the flame stabilizer 13 and in the vicinity of the flame stabilizer 13. By particles from the jetting port 10, particles concentrated in the vicinity of the flame stabilizer 13 of the biomass fuel nozzle 3 inner wall are ignited, enabling stable combustion.
