To provide a biomass feed device and a boiler system capable of efficiently crushing biomass to allow the same to be easily combusted.
A biomass feed device comprises: crushing means to crush biomass; a pretreatment unit to feed the biomass to the crushing means; heating means to heat the biomass by exchanging heat between the biomass at least in either the crushing means or the pretreatment unit and a heat source; a powder separation device to separate the biomass crushed by the crushing means in accordance with a reference value of a particle size; recirculation piping to feed the biomass, which is separated by the powder separation device and has the particle size larger than the reference value, to a position at an upstream side of the crushing means in a conveying route of the biomass; and feed piping to feed the biomass, which is separated by the powder separation device and has the particle size smaller than the reference particle size, to the crushing means in the conveying route of the biomass.
