Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pretreatment dryer capable of drying a vegetable biomass fuel relatively in a short time while preventing carbonization.SOLUTION: A wood chip dryer includes: a cylindrical dry room 1; an agitation device 7 arranged coaxially with the dry room 1; a wood chip inlet 5 arranged on one end of the dry room 1; a wood chip discharge port 6 arranged on the other end of the dry room 1; first to third slits 13, 14, and 15 arranged on the other end of the dry room 1 and serving as air intake ports; and an exhaust port 4 arranged on one end of the dry room 1. Wood chips put into the dry room 1 from the wood chip inlet 5 move from one end to the other end of the dry room 1 by agitating blades 9 of the rotating agitation device 7. Hot air fed from the first to third slits 13, 14, and 15 forms a swirl flow and flows in the dry room 1 from the other end to one end.
