To provide a biomass-gasifying furnace capable of carrying out a clean and highly efficient gasification by effectively utilizing biomass, and further, to provide a gasification system by utilizing the furnace.
This biomass-gasifying furnace has a biomass-feeding means 13 for feeding the biomass 11 into a furnace body 12, and a means 15 for feeding combustion oxidizing agent 14, positioned on the upper side of the biomass- feeding means 13 and for feeding a combustion oxidizing agent 14 comprising oxygen or a mixture of the oxygen and steam. The average particle diameter (D) of a pulverized product of the biomass to be fed is regulated so as to satisfy the formula 0.05≤D≤5 mm. The molar ratio of the oxygen [O2]/carbon [C], and the molar ratio of the steam [H2O]/the carbon [C] in the biomass-gasifying furnace, are regulated so as to satisfy the formulas 0.1≤O2/C<10 and 1≤H2O/C respectively, and the temperature in the furnace is regulated so as to be 700-1,200°C in the gasification condition.
