Abstract:
To improve authentication accuracy by automatically extracting a variation pattern showing a variation in a body condition from biological information measured for healthcare and registering a template suitable for registration selected from the extracted variation pattern.SOLUTION: A biometric authentication device 101 comprises: a biological information measurement unit 102 measuring biological information of a user; a feature quantity extraction unit 104 extracting a feature quantity of the biological information; a biological information variation pattern extraction unit 106 that extracts, from biological information stored in a storage unit, a variation pattern of the biological information and obtains a feature quantity of the variation pattern; a template registration determination unit 107 determining the propriety of registration of the feature quantity of the extracted variation pattern of the biological information; a template management unit 105 managing a template in which the feature quantities of the biological information extracted by the feature quantity extraction unit 104 and the biological information variation pattern extraction unit 106 are recorded; and a personal authentication unit 115 that collates a feature quantity extracted by the feature quantity extraction unit 104 with the template managed by the management unit 105 and determines the propriety of authentication of the user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
