Abstract:
To solve the problem on a conventional biosensor which has a multilayered structure leading to complicated construction that an applied reverse current is required for restoration into a reusable condition.
This biosensor comprises an electrode 2 formed by spattering platinum or palladium on a PET film, an enzyme 3 fixed onto the PET film 1, an O-ring 4 for determining the position of an electrode active material reactive layer, a specimen supply port located in the O-ring 4, and a casing 5 tightly attached to the O-ring 4. It has a non-multilayered structure permitting easy replacement and cleaning of a specimen.
