To provide a bipolar battery in which pressure is made to be equally added on an electrode part.
A plurality of bipolar electrodes 10 in each of which a cathode 3 is provided at one face of a collector 2 and an anode 4 is provided at the other face are laminated with a separator 5 pinched between the cathode 3 and the anode 4. The separator 5 is provided along an edge of the anode 4 and is fixed at its end part by an insulating retainer material 11. Further, the surroundings of the cathode 3, the anode 4 and the separator 5 are arranged between the collectors 2 and sealed with a sealant material 9. A thickness of a part P where the electrode exists is thicker than that of a part S where the sealant material 9 exists.
