Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a novel compd. having specific inhibitive activity to S- adenosylmethionine decarboxylase enzyme as a benign and malignant tumor agent, its tautomer and its salt.
CONSTITUTION: The compd. of formula I [Y is NR6 (R6 is H, lower alkyl), O, S; Z is NR6 (R6=R5), O, S; R2, R4 are H, lower alkyl; R1, R3 are H, lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, etc.; S, S' are substituent (exclusive of H); (m) is 0, 1, 2, 3; (n) is 0, 1, 2, 3]; foor example, 6,6'-diamidino-4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bypyridine. This compd. is obtd. by converting W1 and W2 of the compd. of formula II (W1, W2 are formula III, etc.).
