Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:A bis(alkoxycarbonylmethyl)aminosulphenyl chloride derivative shown by the formulaI(R is 1W6C alkyl, 3W6C cycloalkyl).

EXAMPLE: Bis(methoxycarbonylmethyl)aminosulphenyl chloride.

USE: An intermediate raw material for various kinds of reactions. Especially useful as an intermediate for preparing an insecticide. For example, a compound shown by the formulaIis reacted with a compound shown by the formula II to give a compound shown by the formula III useful as an insecticide.

PROCESS: An iminodiacetic ester shown by the formula IV is reacted with sulfur monochloride shown by the formula S2Cl2 or sulfur dichloride shown by the formula SCl2, to give a compound shown by the formulaI. The reaction is preferably carried out in the presence of a basic compound (e.g., TEA), the reaction temperature is usually -20W50°C, preferably 10W30°C, and the reaction proceeds quantitatively for 1W2hr.
