Abstract:
To produce a biscyclopentadienyl compound bridged with a single carbon atom by a single process method and to obtain a metallocene complex from the biscyclopentadienyl compound.
This metallocene comprises two cyclopentadienyl rings which are mutually bonded with a single carbon atom and is represented by the formula. To be concrete, a compound of the formula such as 2,2-bis(cyclopentadienyl)-6-trimethylsiloxypentane zirconium dichloride is useful as an active catalytic component in polymerization of olefins.
