Title:
BISGLYCOSIDE AND DIOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0517495
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prepare a bisglycoside in which aldopentose, aldohexose, ketohexose or the like are contained in both ends of specified diols and useful for nonionic surface active agents biologically decomposable and capable of reducing environmental contamination.

CONSTITUTION: A diol (such as 2-decyloxy-1,3-propanediol) expressed by formula I [X is C-R4 (R4 is H, a 1-30C alkyl or a 2-30C alkenyl) or N; R1 is a 1-30C alkyl, a 2-30C alkenyl, a 1-30C alkoxy, a 1-30C acyl or the like; R2 and R3 are the same kinds as the case of R4; (n) is 1 to 3; (p) and (q) are 0 to 2] is brought to react with a trifluoromethane sulfonate anhydride to obtain distrifluoromethane sulfonate, which is thereafter brought to react with a protected saccharide of the formula Gly'-OH (Gly' is glycosyl groups produced from aldopentose, aldohexose or ketohexose and in which the remaining OH groups are protected), and the protecting groups are removed, by which the objective bisglycoside expressed by formula II (Gly is deprotected Gly groups) is obtd.
