Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a new compound useful for highly electrically conductive organic charge transfer complexes etc.

CONSTITUTION: The objective compound of formula I (X is chalcogen atom), e.g. phenanthro [1, 10-cd:8, 9-c'd']bis[1, 2]-diselenol. The compound of the formula I can be obtained by reaction of a compound of formula II (Y is halogen) with a compound of formula III (M is alkali metal; X is chalcogen atom) in a solvent like DMF.
