Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a calibration black body with emissivity improved by providing a groove whose depth size is several times its widthwise size between adjacent pyramids. CONSTITUTION:A calibration black body 30 has grooves 31 at positions between adjacent pyramids 21, that is at portions of recesses 23, while the grooves 31 are, when viewed from above, formed in a grid in X-and Y-directions. The groove 31 is 0.1 to 0.2mm in width and 0.5 to 1.0mm in depth which is approximately five times the width. Infrared rays 22-1 incident to a slope of the pyramid 21 are reflected three times while infrared rays 22-2 incident between the adjacent pyramids 21 enter the groove 31. Since the groove 31 is narrow and deep, the infrared rays 22-2 are reflected on one of sides 31b before reaching the bottom 31a then reflected on the bottom 31a, further reflected on the other side 31c, and then returned out of the groove 31. Therefore the calibration black body 30 has improved in emissivity as regards portions between the adjacent pyramids 21 thereby providing high emissivity.
