PURPOSE: To provide a black mass-colored polyamide fiber having high toughness represented by the strength of ≥8.0g/d and the elongation of ≥22%, exhibiting excellent weather resistance and suitable for industrial material.

CONSTITUTION: The black mass-colored polyamide fiber having high toughness is a polyamide fiber having a strength of ≥8.0g/d and an elongation of ≥22% and containing 0.2-1.0wt.% of finely dispersed carbon black particles having particle diameter of ≤300μm. Carbon black produced by channel process is used as the above carbon black. The content of the carbon black in the fiber is 0.2-1.0wt.%.
