Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal panel whose panel strength at a sealed part is strong and whose liquid crystal layer thickness is uniform and whose display quality is high by forming the outer peripheral shape of the display area peripheral part of a light-shielding layer formed on a transparent substrate into an uneven shape where a recessed area and a projecting area are assembled.
SOLUTION: A color filter substrate 20b and a glass substrate 10 are fixed by sealing resin 15 so as to hold a liquid crystal layer 13 and a spacer 14 between the color filter substrate 20b provided with a transparent electrode 12 and the glass substrate 10. Then, the sealing resin 15 is arranged so as to be laminated on the peripheral part of the light shielding layer. Thus, the sealing resin 15 is closely stuck at a part where a layer obtained by laminating an over coat film 11 and the glass substrate 10 and the layer obtained by laminating the over coat layer 11, the light shielding layer 2 and the glass substrate 10 are alternately continued. In this state, since a boundary shape is complicated, distortion caused by heat shrinkage and stress inducted to a panel are decentralized, so that close sticking strength is increased.
