An objective of the present invention is to provide a black photosensitive resin composition capable of forming a light-shielding cured product having high solvent resistance and pattern shape with excellent linearity even when a baking temperature is low, a method for producing a patterned cured product using the black photosensitive resin composition, a patterned cured product formed from a cured product of the black photosensitive resin composition, and a black matrix formed from the cured product of the black photosensitive resin composition. The black photosensitive resin composition comprises an alkali-soluble resin (A), a photo-polymerizable monomer (B), a photo-polymerization initiator (C), a light-shielding agent (D), and a polyfunctional thiol compound (E). The light-shielding agent (D) is composed of a specific organic black pigment (D1) and a pigment (D2) other than the organic black pigment (D1). The content of the light-shielding agent (D) in the total solid content is 25 % by mass or more to 50 % by mass or less, and the proportion of the organic black pigment (D1) to the total amount of the organic black pigment (D1) and the pigment (D2) is 40 % by mass or more to 80% by mass or less.
