Abstract:

To provide a black plated resin component which has a black chromium-plated layer comprising trivalent chromium having not yellowish but bluish.SOLUTION: The black plated resin component includes a resin substrate, a foundation plated layer formed on the resin substrate, and a black chromium plated layer which is formed on the foundation plated layer and comprises trivalent chromium and has a layer thickness of not less than 0.15 μm. Chromium in the black chromium plated layer is present in states of metal chromium, chromium oxide, and chromium hydroxide, and b* of the black chromium plated layer in the L*a*b color system is -1.7 or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
