PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily regenerate a sticking material made of black smoke stuck on a filter by burning, while suppressing cost increase to the utmost, without requiring much fuel or a large current.
SOLUTION: Black smoke removing apparatus units 12, each having a filter 14 for absorbing black smoke material in exhaust gas are disposed in parallel with each other in the vertical direction in a cylindrical main body 13. Each ignition device 25 for generating flame by arc discharge is disposed downstream of each filter 14. Each gas supplying pipe 32 for supplying air is disposed upstream of the filter 14. Each electromagnetic opening/closing valve 36 is disposed via a connecting position of a inlet pipe 18 for leading exhaust gas from a diesel engine 19 in an upstream side connecting pipe 15 for connecting both upstream sides of the black smoke eliminating device unit 12. While black smoke in exhaust gas in one of black smoke removing apparatus unit 12 is eliminated, the black smoke material stuck on the filter 14 of the other black smoke removing apparatus unit 12 is ignited by the ignition device 25, and self spread combustion is carried out.
